Get to know the Zylstra's

Hello we are the Zylstra Family in Artesia,CA. There are four of us Bill (dad), Gail (mom), Vanessa (oldest daughter) and Annette (youngest daughter)

Bill is a High School History teacher. He really enjoys going golfing, dirtbike riding, going to the horse races with his nephew and brother, camping, sitting in front of a fire (even on a warm day, there is always a fire in our fire pit), hanging out with his friends and family and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Bill goes on a yearly golf trip with his buddies every year.

Bill enjoys going to Bakersfield where two of his nephews live, there is a place that him and his buddies call "The Hunting Club"(it is really just a really really old house in the back of his nephews dairy). When they are there they ride dirt bikes "fix up" this old house and shoot squirls. I don't have a picture of this available so a picture of Bill and his 3 nephews and his brother Tom will have to do.


Gail is a Subsitute teacher and she really enjoys her job. Gail is a strong Christian woman who wears her heart on her sleve. She loves her husband and two daughters and would throw a lasso around the moon and give it to them if she could. She enjoys spending time with all her friends and family. Gail got a Disneyland pass for Christmas and enjoys going there with her neice Charise, and her kids... great nephews Skylar and Carter, her great neice Cassie. Gail also enjoys going to Disneyland with her daughters and her frineds. Some of the things Gail enjoys to do:

go to a good movie, go to Disneyland, cook for all her daughters friends, go to dinner with her husband and Happy Hour with any good company...

Gail and Bill have been married for 27 years..

Vanessa is a nanny 2 days a week for a great family they have 3 amaizing kids who do what kids do best and keep life interesting... Vanessa also works for a local photographer in Cerritos named Jill Peterson Photography, who has helped her a lot with her own photography and has opened a lot of doors for her, Jill and her family have also become good friends with Vanessa and Annette. Vanessa turned 24 this year

Vanessa also enjoys watching movies, going dirt bike riding, going to the beach and hanging out with her little cousions Skylar, Cassie and Carter. Watch the UFC Fights.Watching tv with her friends mom and sister. Some of her favorites tv shows are One Tree Hill, Greys Anatomy, 90210, Speeders, Biggest Looser

Annette just turned 21 this year and had an amaizing birthday weekend. Annette and Vanessa share a nanny job Annette does the other 3 days, she loves the family and enjoys watching the kids. She is in college for Teaching and Theater, Annette would love to work backstage on plays and musicals.

There is one more member of the Zylstra Family that we forgot to mention our dog Brenna. Brenna and Bill go walking every morning and he spoils her more than his own daughters.
